Mr. Wanawit Ahkuputra has specialized expertise in Security & Technology transfer and business development. He has a proven track record of building capacity, overseeing business development, identifying relevant technology-based solutions for complex problems, recruiting partners to participate, and managing related projects for a large variety of organizations, both from public and private sectors. In his most recent role as the Deputy Executive Director of ETDA, he was entrusted with crucial roles involving planning, promoting, developing, and implementing technological solutions that would transform Thailand into a digital economy in accordance to the government’s policy under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society.

Prior to joining ETDA, he had acquired managerial expertise in the field of information and communication technology, as well as electronic transaction from both private and public sector entities for more than 30 years. Despite being a Thai born national, Mr. Wanawit has experience living overseas for years and has traveled extensively for business to multiple countries worldwide throughout his professional career. This includes experience with various companies and organizations overseas in France and in Finland. He has over 20 years of professional experience working with Finnish High-Tech companies, which makes him knowledgeable when it comes to interacting and dealing with Finnish co-operators. His input to the management and Board of many companies has been proven to be extremely valuable not only in terms of his expertise, but also his understanding of the markets along with the relevant government initiatives.

He is also the founder of Privy Consulting, a management consulting firm born out of demand for consulting services overseas, particularly from Scandinavian countries. His strong competence and extensive network in Asia proved to be of value to his role as principle and senior partner in the company since its establishment in 2005. His primary focus was on Data Privacy, Data & IT Security, Market Penetration, Business Development/Expansion, and network establishment for new businesses that were looking to enter the Asia market. Between 2005 and 2011, he also worked with several venture capitals and private equity funds, and took an advisory role in business development in several Nordic companies in Finland and Thailand.
